01 / Fotovideocineclub FEDIC of Fano, in cooperation with the Italian Film Club Association (FEDIC) and the Municipality of Fano, and under the patronage of MiBACT-the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, organizes the 31st edition of Fano International Film Festival 2019 open to both Italian and foreign filmmakers who are invited to submit their short films shot on Super 8, on 16-35mm film or in any digital format. Film-to-tape transfers are also accepted.All films must be submitted exclusively via a Vimeo streaming link, to be sent to the e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
02 / All topics are accepted. Each entrant may submit no more than two short films. The running time for each submitted film must not exceed 30 minutes.
In order to guarantee the correct display of information in the Festival official catalog, all entrants are encouraged to fill in the submission form accurately. Besides, entrants should also attach a few significant film stills.
03 / The final submission deadline is Monday 2nd September 2019.
04 / A jury of experts, whose names will be notified in the press, will award a main prize and various special mentions. Besides, the following prizes will also be awarded:
• Special Jury Award
• Best Animation
• Best Documentary
• Best Film Directed by a Woman
• Best Actress and Best Actor
• Best Original Screenplay.
A prize for the Best Feature Film will also be awarded.
05 / The prizes consist in art trophies made by Studio Orafo A/Tre based in Fano, consumer products, technical and studio services.
All entrants will promptly receive the final and detailed program of the event. However, given the expected high number of submissions, the Festival will contact the winners and the special mentions only. All the other entrants who wish to receive news about their submission should contact the Artistic Director or refer to the Festival website.
06 / The winners will be all screened during the official award ceremony that will take place in Fano on Saturday 19h October at 9:30pm. A larger selection of films recommended by the jury will be screened for both the audience and the press in the other days of the Festival, when the meetings with the authors will also be held.
07 / Each author is responsible for the content of his/her own works.
08 / The Festival will make every effort to take care and look after the submitted works. However, the Festival does not take the responsibility for the potential loss of the data provided, their illegal or unfair use or unauthorized access.
09 / By submitting to Fano International Film Festival, the authors confirm that they have read and fully accepted these submission guidelines. As far as controversial cases and any other issues not expressly dealt with are concerned, the decision of the Festival is final.
